Rapid City’s Main Street Square is the place to be during the summer, and one of the most exciting events, the weekly Summer Concert Series, still has a few shows left to go before it closes up for the colder months.
The Main Street Square Summer Concert Series started Thursday, May 28, and has so far featured a wide variety of bands from pop, rock, and country cover bands to big band and swing. The concerts are free to the public and feature food and drink vendors, as well as a Kids’ Zone, so they’re totally family friendly.
There are three concerts left of the Summer Concert Series, the last of which will take place on September 10. On August 27th, you can watch Midnight Sun, a country and rock cover band. The weekend after, on September 3rd, features a rock cover band called Judd Hoos. Finishing out the summer is Girls Guns and Glory, a Hank Williams tribute band. The theme of the last concert is Honoring Our Patriots.
This is a fun and laid back event for the whole city, so if you haven’t gone already, head to Main Street Square on Thursday night for a great show!
